On-device processing

Photos, PDFs and text are analyzed on your iPhone. Chat Protège does not send your content to its servers. When you share a copy or copy text, you choose its destination; its subsequent use depends on the receiving app or service.

Data collection

The app requires no account and includes no advertising or third-party analytics. Apple may process information required for App Store purchases, diagnostics and aggregated statistics according to your settings and Apple’s own terms.

Remembered information

If you choose to remember text or create a personal rule, that information stays on this iPhone for future analyses. It is retained until you remove it through “Settings and help → Erase remembered private data”. This does not change your original documents.

Free allowance counter

The counter for the 5 free items per month is stored locally in the iOS Keychain and shared between the app and its share extension, without iCloud synchronization or a tracking server. It stores only the number of uses and the period dates: no documents, filenames, content or recipients. It is separate from your remembered information to hide. Persistence after uninstalling depends on iOS and is not guaranteed.

Temporary files

The app uses temporary working copies protected by iOS and excluded from backups. It cleans these files when they are no longer needed and clears remaining working files at the next launch. Copies you save or send to other apps remain under your control and that of their recipients.
